    After Party

Well, last night my partner and I went with our girlfriend Steph out to dinner.  I totally blew through my calorie limits.  I had gone out with my sister and girlfriend Caitlin to Pizzeria Uno's.  I had a vegetable panini full of zucchini, squash, onions, etc.  It was delicious.  Then I drank a Long Island Ice tea.  Since becoming a mom, I have always had an infant (4 kids in 6 years)so I haven't drank in about 7 years.  Anyways, then I go out with Manda and Steph to Longhorn Steakhouse.  I got a seven pepper steak salad that I barely touched.  Although that could be because I started with cheese fries(Manda and Stepha made me) and a watermelon margarita and a Desert Pear magarita and some pineapple thing.

So, for redemption I am going to the gym today to sweat like never before.  By Friday, by God, I WILL be under 200 pounds.  I need to catch up to Manda!  She will make her goal weight by the time this is over!  Lucky!  She is so beautiful.  I am going to post pics and video today hopefully.  Talk to you soon!

    Fiber what?

It is so difficult trying to balance a diet when you are looking for:

    Low calories
    Non Fat
    Low sodium
    No sugar added

    And now...fiber?  I found this:
The recommended daily Adequate Intake (AI) levels suggested for adults over 50 are 30 grams for men and 21 grams for women. For adults under 50, the recommended AI is 38 grams for men and 25 grams for women. By these guidelines, less that 5-percent of adults in the United States eat enough fiber. In one recent government study, the average daily intake of dietary fiber for all individuals was 15.2 grams, well below recommended levels. (http://www.bellybytes.com/articles/fiber.shtml)

I am supposed to take in 25 grams of fiber.  Yeah right.  I also watch things too high in sodium so I do not eat frozen dinners like lean cuisine which makes it harder for me to figure out how to eat healthy homemade meals that meet all these requirements.  Whaddaya think?

Pizza, Ice Cream and Cupcakes, Oh My!

    Holy macaroni guys!

Today was my first birthday party since we started this thing and can I just say that I have almost no self control at all.  At this kid's birthday there were pizzas, ice cream and a cupcake Basketball court cake that was ridiculously covered in sweet, rich, frosting (drooling on the keyboard).  I tried and tried but here's how it went down.

Server- "Would you like some pizza?"
Me- "Who me? Pizza?  Uh, no thanks." (getting hot)
Server- "How about some cake and ice cream?"
Me- (Wiping sweat off my brow and loosining my collar) "Ice cream?  Nah.  Cake?  What is cake?  I guess I could try a bite."
    Server- "Ouch!"
Me- (removing the servers finger from my mouth) "Sorry!  Is there anymore of this cake?"

The cake was totally worth the assault and battery lawsuit the server filed.

Well, long weekend.  Martin Luther King Jr. birthday.  Hey! Do we get cake?.....
