    Equilibrium thrown off

    Hey "Losers"!

How is everyone doing lately?  Me and Manda had a weird workout today.  We just weren't feeling the burn.  I don't know if it's time to kick it up a notch and add more resistance or what but we worked up a sweat and reached high speeds on the elliptical and treadmill but we didn't feel it.

i also have to make an appointment with my doctor.  I have a naturally high heart rate and when I work out my heart rate gets to 192 and I start getting a headache.  I realize that it's probably an increase in blood pressure so I slow down.  Other than the headache I physically feel fine like I could continue but I get nervous so I want to ask my doctor about it.

I can't wait for the show Tuesday.  It's getting to the point where I like a lot of people and I don't want to see anyone go.  I really like Bernie and Brittany though.  They are my favorite.

My oldest son (4) is sick.  He never com[plaind when he's sick.  I always bring him in and it's something ike pnemonia.  He's complaining his throat hurts so I'm pretty sure it's strep or something.  And my youngest (5 mos) was bleeding from the back of his head today because he scratched off a scab.  I didn't see that at the time.  I went to pick him up out of the bassinet and all I saw was blood under his head. And my washing machine is leaking.  It's been a mixed up day.  I think I'll go to bed early tonight.

    Good night!
    Love ya!

    Hectic day

    Hey "Losers"!

You know the phrase "When it rains, it pours"? That has defined the last couple of days for me and Manda.  Nothing major upsetting or life threatining.  just small irritations that can ruin a perfectly good day.  Ya know?  Today I went to zip up my pocketbook and the zipper flew off in my hand, then I threw it over my shoulder to leave ( I was already late to my niece's birthday party) and the strap snapped and it went bounding down the flight of stairs.  Since the zipper had busted, all my stuff went flying out.  And I don't carry a cute petite little wrist clutch I carry a big ol' purse that stands up to how big I am.  I have a Mary Poppins bag.  From there it was all down hill.  I lost my cell phone, my computer that had crashed cannot be repaired, my digital camera that was being repaired is going to cost me $150.  My electronic life is like Y2K right now.  Once again, small stuff but can a sista get a break?

Manda worked a shift last night that was supposed to be dead, it always is.  It started out that way so she called some of the people who were supposed to come in and told them they could have the night off.  All of a sudden, the place was slammed.  Two buses came, they were short staffed, the crew was getting angry and wanted break and yelling at Manda. Poor Manda hadn't slept, was beating herself up for not losing, and she was in pain from beginning the strength machines.  As she's squeezing a teeny tiny break in to tell me all of this, another bus pulled in and one employee walked out!  Once again, nothing major but worth screaming in frustration.

So, other than that.  I haven't talked to her yet today to find what she ate but today I had a birthday party.  I had two hot dogs and a chocolate chip cookie.  I came home and had a turkey wrap for dinner.  I definately didn't get my 8 glasses of water in but tomorrow we're going to the gym and it's a brand new week.

It seems like I am forver saying..."yeah, I screwed up but tomorrow...."  That's my problem, I have to stop making excuses and just keep consistent with my efforts.  How are you all doing with that?  What keep you from cheating?

I hope to hear from you soon.  Stay strong! We're all in it to win it!

    Love ya!

    Eli Manning is an alien

It's not who was the best team it was who had the best day.  The Giants may have had a better day but they are not the better team.  I truly believe that the Mannings are aliens sent to destroy us all.  Don't give into them!  They are evil!

Manda and I suffered the Patriots loss with some chili cheese fries, appple pie, M&Ms, Breadsticks, etc.  We will write more after we go to the gym tomorrow and recover emotionally.

    Exhaustion sets in

Hey all you losers out there,
Well it's my weekly blog sorry I just don't have enough time during the week to blog it up like T. Thank god for her cause we would have weak site if it wasn't for her. Lets see  I sarted my cardio videos last week. Oh my by Friday I could barley walk...........Opps sorry bout that, fell asleep at the keyboard. You know I do so well though the week. Then the weekend comes and I think it is that I just have to much time on my hands. So I try to fill up my days off so much that I think I am defenately not getting enough rest. But if I don't fill up my days I find my self saying, hmm two or three cookies won't be bad! So how do I balance days off and keeping up with healthy eating? Any advice would help please. I know I am my own worst enemy when it comes to food. The weekends don't stop me they just make me work harder during the week. What I want is to be better on the weekends so I don't have to work so hard during my work week. But anyways I'll let you go before this becomes a 4 page blog.
Good luck to eveyone in loser land stay strong!

    Time To Re-Group

    Hey "Losers"!

Sorry it's been a few days.  Manda and I have been crazy busy.  Here is a re-cap of the past two days.  Manda fell of the food wagon and gained 1 pound.  We didn't reflect it in the weight tracker because our official weigh day is friday so we're giving her a chance to lose it.  Instead of giving up or getting discouraged, she bought the Tae Bo bootcamp set that I've been using and another Dance cardio DVD. So, she's back on track.  She's struggling to make her calories everyday because she's used to restrictive diets that say you can't eat anything.  Now we have to learn how to eat a well balance, proportioned diet.  It's all about making healthy lifestyle choices/changes.  We are learning but it's a process.

Me?  Well, I am having a time where all I crave is chocolate.  I need sweet and fruit just aint gonna cut it.  So, to keep in control and have what I need (yes, I NEED it!) I bought 100 calorie packs of the new Nabisco candy bites.  They have Chips Ahoy and Oreo.  I got the Chips Ahoy.  Verditct? Deliciouso!  They are awesome and really calmed the craving to knock over a Hershey truck.  However, before I bought these magical bites, I journeyed to Girl Scout cookie land, that's right I stopped over at Thin Mint lane and then over to Captain Calorie to battle.  He won.  Well, I went groccery shopping yesterday and got some Jenny-O lean turkey, some fish filets, yogurt, fruits and veggies so he may have won the battle but he will not win the war.  That's about all for now, it's time for me and Manda to re-group cause we know your watching and there are no excuses.See ya next time fellow "losers"!

    Danger! Danger!

Did I tell you Manda works at a Burger King?  Yes-full time manager at  Burger King. *sirens sounding-lights flashing* Can you guess her dilema?  Chicken fry here, onion ring there.  She is trying to pack a lunch for work, but it's still pretty tempting.  Old habits are hard to break and greasy foods smell better.  Am I right?  Well, it's been tough for her because she works crazy, unpredictable shifts.  She has to try and pack a healthy lunch, and schedule regular meal times.  She also drinks a large portion of her calories in lattes and coffees just to stay awake.  Does anyone have a suggestion of a healthier way to take in enough caffiene to stay awake?  hmmm...

Me? I'm having a rough week.  You would think I could update my blog more considering I am a stay at home mom.  My daughter is sellimg Girl Scout cookies and I am the troop leader so I have over 600 boxes of cookies in my house. Holy macaroni!  My son brought home a fundraiser from school-Little Ceasars pizza kits.  Need I say more?  My husband works part time at a pizza place and brings his work home sometimes..you guessed it...I'm doomed!

We shall overcome!  We will win a personal trainer for a year!  We will say NO to pizza and fries!....Right?!?
